Taxes

Colorado's corporate income tax rate is a flat 4.63 percent, assessed on Colorado net income, defined as the corporation's federal taxable income, with some modifications. Colorado allows businesses to either use a two-factor formula (revenue and property) or a three factor formula (revenue, property, and payroll), whichever is less in determining income tax.

Planning and Permitting

Douglas County's Community Development Department offers speedy development reviews and permitting for new and expanding business projects.

Planning staff evaluates land use proposals for conformance with the regulations and Comprehensive Master Plan goals and policies.

The division also handles zoning compliance, sign permitting, and site development administration for nonresidential construction.
